Why Reverse Osmosis?

You already know that unfiltered tap water straight from you kitchen sink contains impurities and toxins such as arsenic, lead, cysts, chlorine, fluoride, and a long list of other contaminates. Recent tests have even found drug residues and pharmaceutical contaminants in our water supplies. All of these contaminants present an obvious and significant health risk. To try to avoid the contaminants in your tap water, your options are to buy bottled water, use a standard charcoal filter such as a Brita-style pitcher filter or a refrigerator filter, or use the Tap Master Reverse Osmosis water filter.

Why Carbon Filters Are Not Enough

Most water filters today such as pitcher filters, faucet mount filters, and refrigerator filters are charcoal, or “activated charcoal” filters. Charcoal is mostly carbon and can be heated or chemically treated to make it more absorptive. This treated, absorptive charcoal is often referred to as “activated charcoal”. As water passes over the charcoal, impurities in the water are absorbed by the charcoal giving you cleaner drinking water. These filters will absorb organic impurities that cause bad taste and odor. Some, more expensive filters will also remove chlorination byproducts and cleaning solvents. These filters will not remove metals such as lead and copper, nitrates, bacteria, viruses, fluoride, or dissolved minerals.

Fluoride Is Toxic Waste

It is not true that you need to be drinking fluoride in your water. You may think it is necessary to drink fluoridated water for healthy teeth, but that is not true. Ingesting fluoridated water has absolutely no benefit for preventing tooth decay and will poison your body. Doctors are now suggesting that babies should not be given fluoridated water. The truth is that fluoride is a toxin that is extremely damaging to your health. Fluoride has been used as an insecticide and a rat poison. It has been classified as toxic waste in this country and internationally. Most countries have banned water fluoridation.

Why You Should Not Drink Bottled Water

Bottled water is not as pure as you think it is. Pepsi, Auafina, Dasani and other water companies admit that their water is tap water - the same stuff you get out of your kitchen sink. Even if these companies are filtering their water, their water cannot be as pure as the water from your Tap Master.

In addition to the water not being filtered as purely, the  plastic water bottles are contaminating the water. Many plastic bottles, including the 5-gallon polycarbonate water jugs that can be delivered to your home or office, contain bisphenol-A (BPA) which leaches into the water.  BPA is a potent hormone disruptor and can impair the reproductive organs and have adverse neural and behavioral effects. BPA is also linked to adversely effecting tumors, breast tissue development and prostate development. 38 independent specialists in BPA toxicity from around the world concluded that BPA presents a clear risk to human health.  Canada has banned BPA baby bottles and New York Senator Charles Schumer is seeking to ban BPA from water bottles in the United States.  The dangers of consuming BPA has even brought about a BPA Free section at Amazon.com.

Why Tap Master Is The Best Water Filter

Reverse Osmosis is the most effective form of water filtration. The Tap Master is reverse osmosis water filter which can eliminate up to 98% dissolved solids, metals, and harmful chemicals from your drinking water. We use only the most sophisticated components certified to NSF (national science foundation). Look at all the contaminants the Tap Master will remove.

How Does It Work?

The Tap Master is really 4 filters in one. First, your tap water is sent through a sediment pre-filter which removes particles down to 5 microns in size from your water. Next, the water passes through a carbon pre-filter removing an astonishing number of contaminants.  At this point your water is now as pure as it would ever get from even a high quality carbon based filter. Then your water sent through the reverse osmosis filter which removes fluoride, lead, copper, and other contaminants that carbon filters will not remove.

After passing through these three filtration zones, the water is stored in your reserve tank. Then, when you are ready to use the water, it is pulled from the reserve tank and sent through an additional carbon filter before leaving the spigot.  The Tap Master provides delicious, high quality, pure, drinking water.
